Blood donation camp was organized on the occasion of completion of 2 years of hospital on 24th march 2012. Almost 65 people donated blood on this occasion voluntarily.
Community Outreach Programme
At least on two Sundays each month, a team of doctors from “Mai” goes out in the community and conducts a Community Outreach Programme. This team visits societies, hutments, settlements covering all socio-economic classes. It is an effort to build a bridge with the community that we so aspire to serve.
‘Effects of modern lifestyle on health’, doctors symposium was arranged on occasion of MAI AROGYA JATRA on 24th march 2012. Doctors from across specialties participated in the seminar and discussed all aspects of effects of modern lifestyle on health. Audiences’ questions were also answered in great detail.
MAI AROGYA JATRA
MAI AROGYA JATRA was a unique event organized by MMH team during 23, 24 and 25 march 2012 which saw astonishing 4000 visitors during the period of 3 days. 25 different stalls related to health, which included adventure sports stall, health insurance, meditation, bio degradation of household waste, information regarding national economy and budget and many more were present. The motto behind this was to fulfill WHO’s definition of health i.e. Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being and not merely absence of disease or infirmity.
MAI DIABETES CAMP
Mai Diabetes Care and Research Centre have arranged many diabetes care camps from time to time to cater needy diabetic patients from community.
MAI MANGESHKAR HOSPITAL was inaugurated at the hands of Hon. Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, on 16th March.
